Salesforce World Tour Recap!

Three years after the last Salesforce World Tour in London, over 7000 of us across the ecosystem met again. What a reunion it was!

In the walk to registration I met up with Julia Whitehead, who co-leads the Nonprofit User Group with Cirrico’s very own Will Dyer. First on my agenda was their campfire session about the user group and it was great to see people engaging and excited about attending the next event. Will did an excellent job telling people about what user groups are all about and sharing his excitement about developing ideas with others.

At the Welcome address, Zahra Bahrololoumi brought everyone together from the UKI space (and beyond!) to celebrate being together again, talk about that brilliant Matthew McConaghey video and congratulate the latest Golden Hoody winner.

I spent the day checking out various ISV stalls, watching demos and asking about applications for nonprofits. There were developments in tools such as Conga, Vonage and more – as well as a few new faces!

Penny Townsend led a bootcamp session on Net Zero Cloud which I found really useful. It was an excellent introduction to the Accreditation and she has shared her slides here. She discussed really important topics around what sustainability means (spoiler: it’s not very clear in business) and provided clear examples of what Scopes 1,2 and 3 mean. Essential reading for anyone looking to skill up!

As always, World Tour was the perfect way to connect with lots of people I had worked with previously and it was especially nice to meet people who I’ve got to know virtually over the last two years. A group of Marketing Champions all met and some of us even wore matching T-Shirts! Along with my fellow Pardot London co-leaders, we were able to get a quick snap with the newest Salesforce mascot, Brandy!

The Cirrico team were out in force and we managed to catch each other briefly to get a pic and watch Cameron Black’s talk about Street Soccer and their transformation journey.  After a busy day of networking, it was nice to take a break and sit with Laura Croudace to enjoy an ice cream (vegan and gluten free option for her!).

After the keynote, I said goodbye to friends working on some of the stands and headed to The Fox for an afterparty hosted by OwnBackup and Copado. At the last World Tour I was organising an afterparty so it was great to kick back and relax this time! Lots of sunshine and fortunately no fire alarm!

Couldn't Make World Tour? Don't Worry!

World Tour is a fantastic way to connect with people in the ecosystem and get to hear about the latest updates from Salesforce and their partners. Whether you’re a User, Consultant or just want to know more about what Salesforce is all about, make sure you check out the recorded content and sign up for next year! See you there!
