We are currently seeking an experienced Data Migration Consultant to join our expanding global team. As a Data Migration Consultant, you will be responsible for leading and executing data migration projects for non-profit clients using the Salesforce platform. Your expertise will be crucial in ensuring the successful transfer of data from legacy systems to Salesforce. This role requires a deep understanding of data migration best practices, proficiency in Salesforce, and a passion for supporting non-profit organisations in achieving their missions.

Responsibilities will include
- Collaborate with non-profit clients to understand their data migration requirements and develop comprehensive migration strategies.
- Assess and analyse legacy systems and databases to identify data sources, data quality issues, and data mapping requirements.
- Design and implement data migration plans, including data extraction, cleansing, transformation, test loads, blackout period planning, final loading and quality assurance into Salesforce. This includes static (contacts, activities etc) and live data sets (recurring donations).
- Develop and execute data migration scripts or tools to automate the migration process and ensure accuracy and efficiency.
- Perform data validation and reconciliation to verify the accuracy and integrity of migrated data.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including project managers, developers, and consultants, to ensure successful data migration and integration with Salesforce.
- Provide guidance and support to non-profit clients during user acceptance testing and post-migration activities.
- Develop and deliver training materials and documentation to educate clients on data migration processes and best practices before, during and after migration activities.
- Stay updated on the latest trends and advancements in data migration methodologies and Salesforce technologies.
- Contribute to the development and improvement of data migration methodologies, tools, and templates.
The person we’re looking for is likely to have
- Proven experience as a Data Migration Consultant, preferably within the non-profit sector and with Salesforce.
- Experience in migration data from Raiser’s Edge and Access Group products may be preferable, but not required.
- In-depth knowledge of data migration best practices, methodologies, and tools.
- Proficiency in Salesforce, including data import/export processes, data loader, and Salesforce Data Management Tools.
- Strong SQL skills for data extraction, transformation and validation as well as experience with common SQL tools e.g. SSMS/Azure Data Studio
- Familiarity with ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes and tools.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve data quality issues.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with clients and cross-functional teams.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Salesforce certifications (e.g., Salesforce Administrator, Salesforce Consultant) are a plus.
- Passion for working with non-profit organisations and making a positive impact.
- Willingness to travel as needed to support client engagements.
- Experience using solutions like Salesforce, Google Apps, Slack, Microsoft Excel and Access
- Able to multitask in a fast-paced environment and exercise a high degree of initiative in resolving issues and developing system/process enhancement recommendations
